Digital Portal to Submit PPP Loan Forgiveness Applications in Now Available

The Bank of Glen Burnie developed a secure, digital portal that customers must use to apply for PPP loan forgiveness.  This portal is now available to PPP loan customers. Detailed information about the portal and the Loan Forgiveness Application process can be found on our dedicated SBA Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) Loan Forgiveness web page. We have also added this resource page to our Home Page under the BofGB Quick Links section.


All Bank of Glen Burnie Branch Lobbies to Re-Open on July 1

We know you are eager for our branch lobbies to re-open. We are too! As much as we’d like to give you a hug and a handshake, keeping our employees, customers and community members safe and healthy is our top priority as we move forward with plans to re-open.

We have been busy getting our branches ready to welcome you back. When you visit us again you will notice a few changes to our branch lobbies.



Face Masks and Coverings

Masks or other face coverings will be required for anyone entering our buildings for the safety of both employees and customers. All Bank of Glen Burnie employees will also be required to wear a face mask or face covering at all times. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a Bank of Glen Burnie representative. Prior to entering the lobby, you will be required to briefly remove your mask and show identification so that Bank staff may properly identify you. After this ID check, you will be asked to resume wearing a mask. If you are unable or unwilling to wear a mask, we will require you to use our drive-thru window. 

Social Distancing

All customers must maintain social distancing (6-feet apart) while in branch lobbies. Floors will be marked to guide customers and ensure proper social distancing. Transparent plexiglass shields have also been installed on all platform desks to limit exposure.

Limited Lobby Occupancy

Branch lobby occupancy will be monitored, and Bank staff will limit the number of people allowed in the lobby at one time to three (3) customers. If the branch is at its occupancy limit, you will be asked to wait outside until a spot is available.

Enhanced Cleaning and Sanitization

Enhanced cleaning practices are in place in all branches. Hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes are available in all branch locations. Branch lobbies are cleaned daily prior to opening and door handles and counter tops will be cleaned after each customer. To further reduce the risk of exposure, we have temporarily removed many of the lobby items you are used to seeing. These items include refreshments, pens, candy, lollipops and forms. Restrooms will not be available for customer use.

We continue to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic as we move cautiously toward re-opening our branches. We are constantly monitoring and evaluating new information and our re-opening date may change in response to new information and/or guidance from local, state and national officials.

For continued safety and for your convenience, we encourage you to use alternative banking channels whenever possible and visit our lobby in-person ONLY when absolutely necessary. We can provide the same level of outstanding community banking service you expect through a variety of channels including online and mobile banking, branch drive-thru windows, ATM networks, telephone banking and our night depository.

Customers experiencing any type of COVID-19 symptoms or those who have be in direct contact with someone experiencing symptoms, should use alternative banking channels and should not enter our branch lobbies.

Together we have adjusted to a new way of banking and interacting during the past few months. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work together to meet your financial needs during these uncertain times.
