To complement our “Dream BIG” loan campaign donation to Arundel House of Hope (AHoH), a group of Bank of Glen Burnie employees, family, and friends volunteered a Saturday morning to help restore a transition home for an Anne Arundel County family in need. Our volunteers helped with landscaping, painting, and other tasks to prepare this home for the family who would be moving in as part of AHoH’s new Family Housing Program.
The Bank of Glen Burnie participated in Teach Children to Save (TCTS) Day at George Cromwell and Point Pleasant Elementary. More than 100 local youths learned about budgeting, savings money, and calculating interest from members of our Senior Management Team and local Branch Managers.
Established by the American Bankers Association in 1997, TCTS has reached 7.2 million young people through the commitment of 210,000 banker volunteers.
This year, The Bank of Glen Burnie was one of the major sponsors of Anne Arundel County Public Library (AACPL)’s For the Love of the Library event. This event raised over $38,000, which was $5,000 more than last year. Proceeds enabled AACPL to create “early learning spaces” for young children and their caregivers.
